Ok, not the greatest announcement, but big stuff is happening.


The next release is going to be delayed a bit longer than I thought. In addition to continuing to work on new models for gags and blindfolds, Pontikue and I are going to be re-writing much of the code. It's become disorganized and unwieldy. The rewrite will make TMU much easier to build in the long run.


But that's not all.


We're going to start work on a very small side-project building a secret prototype which will allow us to test some new, difficult-to-implement features. I don't want to say what it is right now, but if it works out, the prototype may get a public release for testing purposes later on. I think you guys are going to really, really love the possibilities it might open up for TMU. It's going to take a bit of time to develop but I've got a good feeling about it.

I've fixed some bugs and I redid the lvl 2 and 3 tape gags. They're much closer to what I originally wanted.


Sorry about the long ass wait. It's taken quite a long time to get the modelling work done. The nice thing is there isn't much left of the graphics updates at this point. I have a few blindfolds to make and the new rope gags. After that I can finally move on to UI updates, which I need to get done before the big Itch.io and Steam releases.


Tape 3 may run a bit slow on some people's machines. I optimized the models themselves but there's still a lot of work to be done. It should run faster in the future when I implement proper LODs and make the high-detail models an option you can turn off.


I haven't tested things extensively, so let me know if there are any major bugs in the game.

Alright, it's not shameless. But it is a plug. It's got good vibes. I'm likely going to add a story-based campaign mode to TMU, in addition to the skirmish/minigame kinda of stuff. To that end, Patreon users subscribed to Kinkster will have access to Tie Me Up's early scripts. Those with access can comment on the early drafts and provide feedback as the story is developed. I can't promise what will be used and what won't be, but I have found in the past that if your ideas don't work for one thing, they tend to inspire me for another. Blindfolds will still break at least some gags, but they should be working OK now.


Bit gags have been added to the game. They're the icon at the very bottom.


Some of this might not display well on some monitors and the icons for the new gags suck. I'm not going to do anything about it because I'm going to redo the entire user interface later, as well as completely reworking the game's controls with the goal of simplifying everything.


I've also taken a look at the infamous carry bug and I think I may have fixed it. Let me know if it still happens, there are a few other things I can look at.

  • Fixed NPCs on third floor of office not patrolling

  • NPCs in Office can now navigate between roof and second floor

  • Set third floor of office to be Static (can improve performance slightly)

  • NPCs will now force the player to drop a carried character when capturing the player

  • Carry bug should be fixed

  • If it happens again, let me know. There are some other things that might be causing it.

  • I reproduced it by dropping Naoko off near a pillar while being chased by Ashley who was trying to rescue Naoko (I had stealth mode on so she simply followed me around as they currently can’t force you to drop a carried NPC when rescuing)
